Head 120 feet below the Earth’s surface and see what lies beneath, or go on a wild cave tour that is for more adventurous explorers. No matter the temperature outside, these caves stay around 52 degrees, so be sure to dress appropriately.

Cass Railroad

Cass Scenic Railroad State Park brings you back in time when locomotives were an essential part of transportation. When you’re here, enjoy the 11-mile long railroad and visit the authentic company town. There’s a museum, gift shop, and restaurant on site too, so you can make a day of it no matter where you’re coming from.

New River Gorge Bridge

The New River Gorge Bridge is a sight to see in person. Completed in 1977, this bridge reduced a 40-minute drive down narrow roads. Whether you just want to see a part of history or you to photograph some impressive architecture during your trip, the Gorge Bridge is a must visit. And if you’re in town in October, you may be able to join in on Bridge Day, where BASE jumpers jump from the bridge.
